George Lucas’s first film, THX 1138, was produced by director Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope studios. One year later, Lucas founded his own film production studio, Lucasfilm. Lucasfilm eventually developed into seven different divisions: Industrial Light & Magic, LucasArts, Lucasfilm Animation, Skywalker Sound, Lucas Licensing, Lucas Online, and Lucasfilm Singapore.
