Jurassic Park, the first of the Jurassic films, directed by Steven Spielberg, came out in 1993. Jurassic Park was the first film to have the technology to create living, breathing characters in the dinosaurs. The movie made $87.1 million after the first week of its release. From this film, Skywalker Sound won the Academy Award for Best Sound and Best Sound Effects Editing and ILM won a Scientific and Engineering Award.
